Benchmarking to discover the right specs for your trading PC.

We've done a lot of testing, we have an entire website dedicated to this over at TraderSpec.com. We've tested 100's of processors on a variety of trading workloads and the biggest impact on how fast your trading software runs is the speed of your CPU.

The two charts below show the speed of some of the CPU's we offer. The Single Thread Chart is the raw processing speed of a given CPU. Useful for most charting platforms. The Multi-Threaded chart details multi-tasking and back-testing capabilities.

All software runs quicker with a faster CPU, for traders it mainly impacts chart rendering speed for platforms like MT4, TradingView, MultiCharts. It will help boost any platform though.

For traders things like NinjaTrader strategy analyzer, TradeStation backtests and ThinkOrSwim complex scans will complete quicker with a higher multi-threaded score. Platforms like MT4, Trading View, and most broker platforms do not really make use of multi-threaded performance.

*The brand new 2026 Intel Core Ultra 7 270K matches the performance of the Core Ultra 9 285K for £200 less so we have removed the 285K from the Trader Pro options.

Ordered the Trader pro with a few upgrades and a triple stand and new monitors to replace my old dual set up. Within a week was built tested and delivered. Packaged extremely well and put together within 90mins or so. Everything was pre loaded and worked instantly.

Excellent knowledge of computing, super fast at responding and fair prices. Will be recommending Multiple monitors UK to all my trading colleagues. Common trader questions

The questions we get on the phone, answered.

18 years of pre-sale conversations has given us a solid list. If yours isn’t here, get in touch.

Do I really need a specialist trading computer?

Honest answer: if you’re running one or two screens on MT4 or Trading View, a decent off-the-shelf PC will get you going. The case for a specialist machine kicks in when you start needing more screens or are running multiple platforms. If you need four or more screens, run more than one trading app simultaneously, run overnight backtesting, run Bloomberg, Trading Technologies, Reuters, or when any millisecond of chart lag starts costing you.

If we think you don’t need us, we’ll tell you. That’s why our Trustpilot score looks like it does.

Can I use a gaming PC for a trading workload?

Good gaming PCs are built for one specific task, gaming. Gaming performance is pretty much all driven by the power of the graphics card whereas most trading platforms use little graphics power in comparison, they rely more on the raw CPU speed.

Often you find cheaper 'gaming' computers are actually pretty low end in terms of CPU and RAM and someone has just stuck a mid-range gaming graphics card in it and called it a gaming PC. This is not optimal for trading workloads and whilst it 'may' do the job with some trading platforms, you're still paying a significant amount of money for something not particularly suited to the job at hand.

What’s the real difference between the Trader PC and the Trader Pro?

From a purely technical point of view the Trader PC uses the slightly older (but still new components) Intel 14th generation processors combined with DDR4 RAM. The Trader Pro PC uses Intel's latest Core Ultra Platform combined with DDR5 RAM.

The Trader PC is the right call for traders running MT4/MT5, TradingView, MultiCharts, or NinjaTrader without heavy overnight strategy analysis. It is great for Full HD screen setups. Single-thread performance is key for these platforms and the Trader PC is very good there.

The Trader Pro is worth it if you're running more intensive platforms like Bloomberg, working in NinjaTrader 8 or TradeStation with multi-instrument backtests, or running a lot of platforms simultaneously. The extra speed and multi-tasking capabilities of the Core Ultra processors combined with extra RAM and more powerful graphics setups make for a very solid upgrade over the Trader PC.

The comparison table above will help you make the right decision, or phone 0330 223 66 55 and we will advise.

I've seen another PC a bit cheaper, is yours worth the premium?

Fair question. Our prices are not cheap, but they're also not that premium either. Compared to specialist retailers in the US such as Falcon we are usually a lot lower priced on a spec for spec basis. Looking at someone like Scan in the UK we are also better value and offer more tailored solutions. Compared to Apple's pricing we are a bargain!

There will always be someone selling a computer at cheaper pricing. Often they get to these levels by cutting corners on the build, using cheap OEM components, and providing no support. Some also sell 2nd hand parts which they don't always advertise all that well.

Our builds are genuinely built with premium components, by experts, thoroughly tested, and then come with on-site hardware support and lifetime email, phone, and remote desktop support. If you're relying on your trading computer for your income then knowledgeable and responsive support is worth a lot.

Someone told me I need a powerful graphics card to run multiple screens, is that right?

Not really, but it does depend on the number and resolution of your screens to a certain extent.

One requirement of a graphics setup is having the right number of monitor ports available, if you want to run 6 screens then you need 6 monitor output ports, this usually means having 2 graphics cards installed.

The next consideration is the resolution of your screens. Higher resolution displays are more demanding than lower ones. Running four 4K screens is the equivalent of powering 16 normal Full HD monitors which is obviously a lot and it puts a lot more strain on your graphics setup.

We spend a lot of time discussing these points with customers but as a generalisation, if you are running Full HD screens (1920 x 1080 resolution) then any of the standard lower priced graphics setups we offer are more than capable. They will all handle up to four QHD screens easily as well. If you are going to a higher resolution than QHD or want to run 6 or more of them then upgrading to more powerful graphics setups may be worth exploring.

How long does it take to build and deliver?

All computers are built to order in our workshop. We then put each machine through 32 hours of stress testing before securely packaging them up for delivery. This full build and test process takes around 4 - 5 working days and then deliveries are next working day pre-12 for UK mainland customers. For off-shore destinations delivery times will be longer. Pricing and delivery times are built into our checkout for most countries.

What does the warranty package actually cover?

All computers get 1 year on-site cover, this means if any hardware fails in that time we will do our best to resolve at your location without you needing to send the PC back to us. This is extendable to 2 or 3 years when ordering.

We also offer 5 year labour cover on all PC's that runs alongside the on-site cover. This means if you get any hardware faults during that period we will not charge you anything to look at the PC for fault finding or replacing parts in terms of labour.

All customers also receive lifetime phone, email, and remote desktop support. We are still helping customers with machines that are well over 10 years old at times.

You can see our full warranty details here.

Can I upgrade later?

It depends on the specific upgrade but the answer is usually yes. We use premium components that generally have spare capacity for future upgrades to things like RAM, hard drives and graphics cards.

CPU / processor upgrades can be more convoluted as often you will need to also swap the motherboard and potentially the cooling system too. This depends on whether Intel or AMD require a new motherboard for the new CPU, sometimes they do, othertimes a motherboard will support multiple CPU releases.

If you are looking to buy something now with a view to future upgrades just let us know. Because we build everything up from scratch we can accommodate pretty much anything you are thinking.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

We ship across the UK as standard (free on bundles). Most European destinations are built into the checkout, you will see pricing and transit times in there. For other destinations just let us know what you are potentially looking to order and where it needs to go and we will get you a shipping quote.
